Whitney Awards

I love reading and always have been a reader.  When I became a mother, I read to my children and loved our time bonding together over imagination and books.  To this day, my children fall asleep listening to their father read them a bedtime story.  However, I do have a child who does not love to read, and since literacy is so important in today's society, we have found ways to encourage each child, no matter where they are in the process.  Literacy is a cause I fully support and as a member of StoryMakers, we have put together a presentation for libraries, schools, and religious groups that you may be interested in if you reside in Utah.  Please contact me if you are interested in scheduling a presentation.

Special Note: These presentations can also be customized to fit your group’s interests and needs. This is not used as an opportunity to promote any of the authors’ books but rather to discuss the importance of literacy. Before the event, we will get handouts with literacy information to your leaders for copying. By request, the authors will bring "give-away" books and have a fun book drawing at the end of the evening.
